Hey,
Did you know that in Australia homelessness is on the increase? The lucky country is not so lucky for some.
The hidden nature of homelessness leads us to make incorrect assumptions. Research has shown that those who first experience homelessness at a young age are more likely to experience persistent homelessness in adulthood.
In addition to this, “Homelessness is associated with enormous health inequalities, including shorter life expectancy, higher morbidity and greater usage of acute hospital services...”
I have decided to make a difference by creating my very own fundraising appeal for to support St Vincent de Paul's Western Sydney University Sleep Out. I will be spending the night sleeping outside to promote awareness of how so many are forced to sleep on a daily basis.

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (Vinnies NSW)
The St Vincent de Paul Society in NSW has been helping the community since 1881. Every day, the Society's 16,000 members and volunteers help vulnerable and marginalised people in their local communities by visiting them in their homes, providing assistance and referring them to other services when needed. Last year our local member networks provided around $20 million worth of financial and material assistance to hundreds of thousands of people experiencing disadvantage.
